BLUES ROCK JOURNEYMAN
RECORDING ARTIST, TOURING ARTIST, SONGWRITER
2019 has been an extremely busy year for Tom The Suit Forst. Upon the release of his solo album "On Fire" throughout China and Taiwan (previously released in the United States and Europe in 2016), he was invited to tour China for the first time. He performed several shows in Beijing area as well in Southern China, with a band of Chinese and American musicians hand-picked just for the tour. While in China he also conducted a Master Class of students eager to learn about his unique style of playing - no English was spoken by any of the students. Tom will return to China in spring 2020, for second tour, as well as to begin a unique blues project involving traditional Chinese musicians. You might say that when it comes to his music career- "outside the box" is just the way he rolls.
Since returning from China, Forst has recorded a 5 song EP to be titled "A World of Broken Dreams," a follow up to his debut solo album "On Fire," (Produced by Grammy winner Paul Nelson of Johnny Winter). A mix of deep, driving blues, blues-rock, and Americana, the new album is being produce by Ethan Isaac at Factory Underground in Norwalk, CT. The work will feature guest guitarist Ryan Hommel of the Amos Lee Band, employing a rubber-fret acoustic that is his own highly unique sound. Drums are being performed by Travis McDabb of Better Than Ezra, with guest vocals by the Beehive Queen of Soul herself - Christine Ohlman, also known for her work with the Saturday Night Live Band.

A life-long musician who joined the corporate world, "for a couple of years, to put some food on the table and try to get my kids through college," a job that would become a 25-year career as VP of a major television advertiser.
"I loved it, but I always had a plan to go back into music; the day my wife and I paid the last college tuition bill, I gave my notice," he explains.
Tom The Suit Forst's unique background and story have attracted loyal fans of all ages, many just admiring his willingness to leave the corporate life at a career peak to follow his dream of a full-time career in music, as well as those discovering his unique style of blues-rock songwriting that is has been called a cross between Joe Bonamassa and Joe Walsh.
